For Matthew’s senior portrait session, we actually had a split session due to a yearbook deadline and an injury he experienced playing baseball. For the first session, we met at my studio and had a great time even though we had to try to hide one of his arms because of the injury. For the second session, we met at a park a few months later, and those images turned out great too, especially since all of the leaves were starting to change! For his senior portrait session, Zack wanted to show his love for baseball. To do so, he chose to have his senior portrait session at the school and baseball field where he spent so much of his time in Cary. Zack is an extremely talented athlete, but did great modeling. After only a few minutes of shooting, she was the perfect model, and we even ended up staying longer than originally planned because we were all having so much fun with her senior portraits! For Chris’s senior portrait session, he wanted to show his love for golf so he originally decided to have his senior portrait session at a golf course. When arriving at the golf course, it was a little crowded so we made a last minute decision to have the senior portrait session in Downtown Raleigh. For senior portrait sessions, I usually suggest that seniors bring along mom or another close family member to help with outfits and to hold the iPad to instantly see the photos I’m taking…. But because his mom was traveling internationally, he decided to rock his senior portrait session on his own, and he did a great job! Even though the weather had other plans for my 2013 high school senior portrait sessions, I was finally able to photograph my first high school senior of the class of 2013! Between Kjersti and my other few seniors scheduled in May, I had to reschedule about 9 senior portrait session because of the weather! No problem though and ended up with a perfect day, much cooler than when I photographed her sister a few years ago when she was a senior, for senior portrait photography. Kjersti is a wonderful dancer and her beauty and gracefulness surely showed through in her photo session! After growing up with my sister dancing, I’ve always found it interesting how dancers, even when they are just walking, seem to have no wasted movements and look so graceful even when they are just walking! It was a perfect portrait session to start out my 2013 high school senior portrait sessions and I could say more, but theses senior portraits say it for me!
