Our first appointment for Olivia’s senior portraits got delayed because of some hurricane or tropical storm that decided to send Durham a lot of rain and wind. No matter, the second day we picked out turned out to be a beautiful day for a senior portrait session. With mom and sister along for the ride, Olivia had a nice team helping her out at Duke Gardens. She did a wonderful job and we came away with some stunning senior portraits!

I was excited to be Noah’s senior portrait photographer after hearing what he wanted to do. I love photographing seniors on location but was looking forward to having part of his senior portrait in the studio and part on the baseball field. I knew we would come away with some awesome photos for his senior portraits…. Which we did and I gotta be a little more artistic than normal which is always fun!

Some seniors, like Jeremy, are just immediately naturals infront of the camera. Every shot seemed to come out great! Even though he is part of the blue eye club like me, while editing the photos from his senior portrait session, I particularly liked the way the black and white photos came out. As a fellow basketball player, it was easy for me to relate to AJ right away… also I could tell he was about as excited to get his senior portraits done as I was when I was a high school senior looking for a senior portrait photographer! That being said, by the end of the senior portrat session, I’m pretty sure he enjoyed it! Or in his words, “it wasn’t so bad” which I think is a win for most guys getting senior photos!

Garrett continued the streak of high school senior guys that do much better infront of the camera than I do. He is a very easy going, which made him look very natural in his senior portraits. Also, I got to learn a little more about one of the top places on my list I wanna go to, the Galapagos Islands where their family had the chance to visit this summer (yes, I’m super jealous)!
